About Reservoir Perfumes:
A small-batch perfumery based out of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Reservoir produces bold and evocative scents. Raw materials are sourced internationally and each perfume is composed, matured, and crafted with care, over time. Reservoir likes abstraction and ideas, and tends towards the unusual.
Currently at tel•e•gram:
Paquita
A scent for winter nights. Nardo, a Spanish tuberose common on Las Ramblas, lends a smoky voluptuousness, and Mariposa, a flower native to Cuba, adds a lush green character. Clove and Cedarwood give spice, comfort. A warm heat under the collar of a thick coat.
Basil Muguet
A subtle and ambiguous floral. Pretty Lily-of-the-Valley is complicated by crisp Basil, softened by Rose, Champaca, and Tonka Bean. Not the flower itself, but rather a dusty etching of it.
Rose Soap
An unusual variation on the loveliest of flowers. Ambrette Seed and Creosote give a powdery, airy feel. Frankincense, Jasmine, and Oak Moss create an incredibly rich dry-down. Begins clean and shy, and slowly envelops, darkening all the way.
